126 people recovered from COVID-19, total recoveries to 83,700

Another 126 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 126 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 83,700 with another 1,333 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 20 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 55 from the atolls and 5 from the resorts. And so the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 85,278.

There has been 232 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 215 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
