Spokesperson of the President's Office, Mohamed Mabrook Azeez has said that the Maldives has become a cooperative country that works with the nations rather than be isolated.

Speaking on Raajje TV's "Falasurukhee" program last night, Mabrook said that the Maldivian Foreign Policy has been strengthened far exceeding the achievements in three years compared to the previous administrations.

He said that there are numerous evidences to show that the Maldives is active on the international stage and highlighted that the Maldives has established bilateral relations with seven countries in three years, rejoined the Commonwealth and re-established relations with Qatar.

Mabrook said that scholarship opportunities for the country are also increasing while the number of free aid to the country has been increasing annually as the Maldives begin to establish itself as a responsible country on the international stage.

The Spokesperson of the President's Office said that the world sees the Maldives following the democratic structure which in turn has gained advances in the Press Index and the Human Rights Watch has been noting the progress as well.

He also noted that the Maldives was on the bottom of the Human Rights list die to the illegal expat problem on the country but now there has been progress on that front as well.

Mabrook said that the country has abandoned the idea of isolating itself when criticized and the world has welcome the Maldives for becoming a cooperative country. And the entire world has accepted that the current administration is ready to work with every nation.
