Another 133 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 133 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 81,804 with another 1,609 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 26 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 42 from the atolls and 11 from the resorts. And so the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 83,655.
There has been 229 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 213 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
