Man attacked in Addu in critical condition, being brought to Male'

Procedures are under way to bring the young man attacked and injured in Addu City to Male' for further treatment.

Maldives Police Service said that the report of an attack injuring a person near the flats in Addu was reported at 12:08 p.m. today.

Police said that a 29-year-old man was injured in the attack and the man is now being treated at Addu Equatorial Hospital.

ONE Online has learned that the man is being treated in the ICU of the hospital in critical condition and arrangements are being made to transfer him to Male' City for further treatment.

Talking to ONE Online, an official from the Addu Equatorial Hospital said that a 29-year-old man with injuries to his head was brought to the hospital around 12 p.m. today.

So far no arrests have been made regarding the case, according to the Police, and an investigation is ongoing.
