A young man has been attacked with a sharp object and injured in Addu City.

Maldives Police Service said that the report of an attack injuring a person near the flats in Addu t was reported at 12:08 p.m. today.

Police said that a 29-year-old man was injured in the attack and the man is now being treated at a hospital. So far no arrests have been made regarding the case, according to the Police, and an investigation is ongoing.

Talking to ONE Online, an official from the Addu Equatorial Hospital said that a 29-year-old man with injuries to his head was brought to the hospital around 12 p.m. today.

The injuried man is being treated at the Emergency Room, according to the official, and is currently concious and aware of where he is.
