Maldivian Foreign Ministry has said that Minister Abdulla Shahid is set to chair a session of the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) tonight.

The ministry today said that the last session of the 75th UNGA will be taking place at 12 a.m. Maldives time.

And a session of the 76th UNGA will be starting as well with Minister Shahid as the Chair and making a speech.

Minister Shahid won the post of the President of the 76th Session of the UNGA with 143 of the total 191 votes cast.
