Chairperson of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), Hassan Latheef, has said that a further 48 laws need to be introduced as part of President Solih’s campaign pledges.
Chairperson Hassan Latheef said this while taking part in the presentation of forms of MDP candidates of upcoming Parliamentary elections to the Election Commission. Latheef said that while a further 48 laws need to be introduced, 19 of these laws are included in MDP’s Parliamentary Campaign policy “Agenda ‘19”. Latheef said that these 19 laws included in Agenda ‘19 are being prepared by MDP to be presented at Parliament.
Parliamentary hopeful for the Henveiru-West constituency, Latheef said that the laws that have currently been drafted and would be proposed by MDP to encompass and address the people’s concerns. He reiterated that the people will therefore cast their votes for MDP in this upcoming election, in an effort to address these concerns.
A walk by MDP candidates were held in front of the Elections Commission in order to mark the presentation of the party’s candidacy forms to the Commission. The walk and presentation of forms will take place in the Elections Commission’s center located in the old Jamaluddin School grounds.
