Employees of Greater Male’ Industrial Zone Ltd. will be granted maternity and paternity leave as per President Solih’s campaign pledge.

The Managing Director of Greater Male’ Industrial Zone Ltd. Ibrahim Rasheed has confirmed this change in a tweet last night.

Rasheed said in the tweet that employees of the company will be granted maternity and paternity leave as per President Solih’s campaign pledge. The MD said that the maternity leave period has been set as six months with paid leave while the paternity leave period is set as one month of paid leave.

Ibrahim Rasheed had been appointed the Managing Director of Greater Male’ Industrial Zone Ltd. the past December.
