Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that the development of the harbor in Hulhumeedhoo, Addu City , for the Maldives Industrial Fishing Company (MIFCO) is well underway.

New harbor basin dredging and entrance channel dredging operations to a depth of 8.5MSL (Mean Sea Level) is currently ongoing, according to MTCC, and the dredging vessel “Jarraafaa 3” is running 24 hrs in these operations in two shifts.

The project valued at MVR 68.80 million entails dredging 471,380 cubic meters, 1,788 cubic meters of land reclamation and 97 meters of inner sea wall
