Another 114 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 114 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 79,683 with another 2,057 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 53 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 96 from the atolls and 20 from the resorts. And so the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 81,979,

There has been 226 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 209 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
