Male’ City Mayor, Shifa Mohamed, has said that the people have now voted as the four leaders wanted. She said as such, that there should be no more demands of the people and that parties should direct efforts towards Parliamentary elections without further demands.

The Mayor said this in a tweet sent out yesterday. She reiterated that the current administration and political positions have been brought on by the votes of the people as asked by the four leaders.

Mayor Shifa said that as such, parties should make no further demands from the people. She said that parties should now divert focus on efforts for the primaries of upcoming Parliamentary elections. She also said that the people should vote for who they wish to vote for in the Parliamentary elections.

In an additional tweet sent out, the Mayor also criticized local politicians for their constant floor-crossing to different political parties.
