Another 137 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 137 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 78,894 with another 1,658 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 42 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 60 from the atolls and 11 from the resorts. And so the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 80,791.
There has been 226 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 209 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
