Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has ordered to bar those who have not gotten the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine from vessels, vehicles and domestic aircrafts.
An announcement made by the Ministry said that those providing land, sea and air transportation need to ensure that those using their services are abiding by the regulations set by the Health Protection Agency (HPA).
HPA guidelines has previously said that those who does not get vaccinated with the first dose will be facing difficulties in receiving some services.
In an effort to encourage COVID vaccination, the guidelines from HPA also include barring unvaccinated individuals from hotels, cafés and restaurants along with other food service outlets.
The regulations also states that government employees who have not gotten vaccinated needs to do a PCR test every 14 days.
So far, 381,902 people have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while 301,189 people have completed the full doses of the vaccine.
