Former Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services, Shidhathaa Shareef has said that she will be on the frontline of the newly formed political party, MNP.

Speaking on the first episode of One Exclusive on ONE Plus, Shidhathaa said that she has always been working to further her political career and when it came to MNP, she looked of there was a platform for various aspects of politics rather than the offer made by the party.

She said that the MNP leadership gave her that assurance to her.

The former Gender Minister said that there is always a deal and an offer usually when it comes to political agreements in the Maldives but she has been very transparent with her agreement with MNP. She said that her thinking has been shared with the leaderships of both the party she left and the party she joined and the goal is to be active politically.

Shidhathaa said that after 11 to 12 years with Adhaalath Party, the members do want her to remain but they all respects her decision to leave and showed professionalism.
