The total number of COVID-19 related to the Maldives has risen to 225 after the second Covid death today.

One Online has learned that a 46-year-old Maldivian woman who was being treated at the Hulhumalé Medical Facility has passed away today.

This marks the second death today. A 92-year-old woman who was in quarantine after being marked as a direct contact has also passed away earlier today.

The counter reported its first COVID-related death on 29 April 2020 while the highest number of COVID-19 related deaths on a single day was reported on 25 May 2021 with 13 deaths.
