Sources have confirmed that the the suspect arrested in Gaafu Alifu Kolamaafushi last night was an employee at the island's powerhouse operated by Fenaka Corporation.

Maldives Police Service said that a 29-year-old local man was arrested last night in Kolamaafushi following an reported to Police Intelligence about drug trade on the island.

Police said that the Kolamaafushi Police Station made the arrested with a court order to search a resident where rubber packets.of suspected drugs were found. And the case is being investigated further.

Fenaka Corporation has yet to make a comment on the address.
