MP for Hulhudhoo constituency, Ilyas Labeeb, who warned the Defence Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi of the bombing on the Speaker of the Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed before the attack, has said that he suspects an attack is being planned against the Deputy Speaker, Eva Abdulla and some other MPs.
As the last term of the Parliament sittings for the year starts today, Speaker of the Parliament, Nasheed has sent a letter stating that he is hesitant to return to the Maldives as the people who planned the 6 May bombing has not been apprehended.
Talking on the subject today, MP Ilyas Labeeb said that now we are seeing the Deputy Speaker and other MPs at risk.
He said that MPs are being stalked and so suspects a coming attack.
MP Ilyas said that no citizen can freely live in the country without apprehending the people behind such attacks and bringing them to justice.
