Male' City Mayor, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that the City Council plans to develop the land east.of Dharubaaruge to a street food concept.

Speaking at a meeting with the people of the Henveiru district last night, Dr. Muizzu said that the city lacks a street food zone. And so, he wants to develop the land east of Dharubaaruge to feel different with a street food concept acceptable by health studies.

He said that the land in question has been proposed for various projects but none of those agreements are currently valid.

At the meeting, Muizzu showed concept art for the development which contains a play area for children and the space to accommodate nine food trucks.
