Swim Maldives and Ooredoo has collaborated to introduced a program titled “Fathaalama”. The initiative will teach young children how to swim as well as how to act in the case of danger at sea.

The Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed, Director of Sales and Brand at Ooredoo Hussain Niyaz as well as Founder of Swim Maldives, Hussain Shameem announced the new “Fathaalama” initiative. The announcement was made this morning at the inauguration event launching Swim Maldives program “Baa Crawl” held at Baa Atoll.  

Ooredoo informed that the training programs will be conducted all across Maldives. The company also declared that the “Fathaalama” program will demonstrate techniques of competitive swimming as well as enrich children’s interests in delving into the field of professional swimming.

The first campaign under the program is set to be held in Baa Atoll within the first week of the month of February. The locations in B.Atoll include islands of Eydhafushi, Dharavandhoo, Dhonfanu, Kihaadhoo, Kuda Kili and Kendhoo.

Ooredoo also informed that the program will span across the northern and southern regions if the country in the future.  

The telecommunications and digital company Ooredoo has conducted various programs to contribute to a healthier society. Some of these programs include contributions from Ooredoo’s Color Run, Mas Race and several other programs. Ooredoo has also said that there will be many future collaborations with different partners such as Swim Maldives in the future.
