Maldives Transport and Contracting Company MTCC has said that the majority of the Shore Protection Project in Haa Alifu Atoll Dhidhdhoo has been completed.

Taking to Twitter today, MTCC said tan overall 65 percent of the project has been completed.

Consisting in the project is the use of 7,750 cubic meters of sand to level, 1,926 cubic meters of sand for geo bags and a geo bag revetment of 310 meters to prevent soil erosion.

Contracted to the MTCC for MVR 10.02 million, the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure signed the agreement in November 2020.
