Prosecutor General, Hussain Shameem has said that currently there isn't enough evidence to prosecute the former Police Intelligence Officer, Ahmed Fathih.
Fathih was apprehended on May 19th during an operating conducted in B. Dharavandhoo.
Speaking during a press conference, Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem said that the decision to not prosecute Fathih was solely based on the lack of evidence to prove the crime.
Chargest against the first four who were arrested regarding the attack on Speaker of Parliament Mohamed have now been sent to the Criminal Court. They are Ahmed Adhuham, 25; Mujaz Ahmed, 21; Thahmeen Ahmed, 32; Ali Haisham, 27.
M. Kudhehige, Ishaq; GA. Villingilli Hudhurumaage Fahmee Ali; AA. Maalhos Asareege, Mohamed Nazim as well as HA. Hoarafushi Alanaasige, Mohamed Thasleem and HA. Molhadhoo Bahaaruge Abdulla AliManik are currently in remand.
