President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appealed all to get vaccinated in order to 'resume the rhythm of normal life'.
President Solih made the appeal via tweet, following the launch of a massive vaccination program by the government with the aim of vaccinating 90% of the eligible population by the end of August.
The President said that 'after months of hardship from COVID19, vaccines are our pathway to resume the rhythm of normal life- to work, run our businesses and be with family and friends'.
"If you haven’t already, please go and get your shots now. Do it for your families, do it for your community," the tweet read.
While the coronavirus continues it's spread across the globe. countries have been slowly easing restrictions as vaccinations have become more common in those countries.
