Health Protection Agency (HPA) has designated Hulhumale' Hospital as the vaccination center in Hulhumale' under the current vaccination program in the area.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, in his address to the nation on Independence Day announced that a massive vaccination program will begin soon with the aim of vaccinating 90% of the eligible population by the end of August. He also highlighted that there were enough vaccines to reach this milestone.

The vaccination program began today.

Commissioner of Quality Assurance at HPA, Thasleema Usman said that the booking system and confirmation message saying 'Hulhumale Vaccination Center' had caused some confusion since vaccinations were not administered at Hulhumale' Hospital previously.

She noted that the booking system and booking confirmation message will be revised today, and had apologized for any inconvenience caused.
