Opposition parties, PPM and the newly formed People's National Congress (PNC), has agreed to form a coalition.

The coalition agreement was signed by the President of PPM, the former President of Maldives, Abdulla Gayoom Abdul Gayoom and the President of PNC, the MP for Fonadhoo constituency, Abdul Raheem Abdulla (Adhurey).

Talking to the press after the signing, President Yameen said that the two parties will be working together to for the benefit of the country.
