President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that five years is too long for a Presidency term.
Speaking at the second meeting of Jazeera Holhuashi last night, President Solih said that he believes five years is too long for Presidential term and a parliament term.
President Solih noted that empowering the Councils alone would not make them efficient and needs financial stability as well. And so the government is working to allow Atoll Councils to rent lands to generate state income.
