GDh. Thinadhoo has been brought back to normal status after three months of being placed under monitoring.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has confirmed the news.

Thinadhoo Council President Saud Ali revealed to "One" that all of the random samples taken within the last few weeks have all returned negative. Hence, he stressed that the virus is no longer present within the island community.

Thinadhoo was brought under monitoring status on April 24th. During this time period, 900 people had tested positive for the virus with two deaths as well.

14 islands are currently under monitoring status.
