Maldives Police Service has denied the allegations stealing a number of chicken kept at the Henveiru Artificial Beach the night before Eid.

Some has made an accusation on social media saying that police officers on motorcycle slaughtered and stole chickens on Wednesday night.

Regarding the allegations, Police Media Official told One Online that slaughter and theft of live chickens at the Kudahenveiru area was reported to the police at 8:05 a.m. yesterday and an investigation is underway.

The media official said that the inquiry so far has not revealed any involvement of police officers.

Which chickens are kept at the Artificial Beach by a group of young people, many keep other forms of birds and fish tanks on the area.
