Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) has decided to develop self-service fuel station capable of accommodating 22 vehicles at a time.

Speaking on Raajje TV's "Falasurukhee" program last night, Managing Director of FSM, Mohamed Gasam said that the foundation for a modern fuel shed will be built in Male' City in the coming months as the drawings for the project has been completed.

He said that the new fuel station will be built next to the temporary one at the Industrial Zone and would encompass the current one.

The FSM Managing Director said that the new the new fuel station would be there times larger than the current one and will be using modern self-service technology to serve 14 motorcycles and eight four-wheel vehicles at a time.

Gasam said that before the large shed is developed, they are working on introducing self-service pumps at one of the fuel sheds they have now.

FSM currently operates five fuel stations in the Male' City area.
