Ministry of Islamic Affairs has decided that Al-ha Eid Prayers will be held in 39 mosques in the Male'City area tomorrow.

Islamic Ministry said that 26 of the 39 mosques will accommodate women for prayers.

And so, Eid Prayers will be held at 25 mosques in Male' City, three mosques in Vilimale' and nine mosques in Hulhumale' along with two mosques in Hulhule' that would accommodate only men.

The government has decided not to hold the Eid Prayers in a large congregation this year as well.

Due to the COVID-19 situation in the country, Eid Prayers were not held in a large congregation last year and the Eid post Ramadan this year.

Congregational prayers were banned due to the high number of COVID-19 cases in the city and was only recently allowed, starting 1 July.

However, congregational prayers are still required to exercise physical distancing.
