President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the asphalt phase of the Road Development Project at the Haa Dhaalu Hanimaadhoo.

The President arrived in Hanimaadhoo today as part of his three day visit to three islands among the northern atolls.

Hanimaadhoo Road Development Project contracted the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) entails 44,000 square meters of asphalt on 20 roads and developing a water drainage system along with the installation of lights and traffic signs.

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project to MTCC for MVR 71.9 million.

During his visit, President Solih also received the latest on the Hanimaadhoo Harbor Project. MTCC has said that 99 percent of the harbor dredging works of the project has been completed
