President Ibrahim Solih sends congratulatory message to the new Sultan of Malaysia, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

The new Sultan of Malaysia was previously the Sultan of the State of Pahang in Malaysia. President Solih had sent the greetings in a letter that expressed hope that the ties between Maldives and Malaysia will be further strengthened.

The President had also expressed his wishes that the bilateral ties between the two nations are further fortified and said that he hopes that both countries work together for future endeavors.

The new ascension to the throne by Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah took place after the previous Sultan, Sultan Muhammad V abdicated.
