MP for Meedhoo constituency, Rozaina Adam has said that she will not work with the former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom against a MDP administration.

She made the remark in response to the Speaker of the Parliament, former President of the Maldives and current President of MDP, Mohamed Nasheed stating that he would ask assistance from former President Yameen even if MDP members are unhappy with it.

Taking it Twitter this morning, MP Rozaina said that she joined MDP to work on a platform that was working against the President Yameen after seeing his trajectory.

And said that President Yameen's government was more brutal than expected and now he is now serving a prison sentence after being convicted of theft from the state.

The Meedhoo MP raised the question as to why Speaker Nasheed is seeking assistance from President Yameen and asked if President Yameen was able to get justice for anyone.

She also said that the current President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is not a bad President as he is not brutal, does not steal and had continued to run projects even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rozaina also responded to the comments from former President Nasheed about extremist views within MDP by asking what the President has done in line with extremist views.

Yesterday, the President of MDP, former President Nasheed said that he can longer stand politically with the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
