Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that the Faafu Atoll Dharanboodhoo Harbor Project is close to completion.

Taking to Twitter this morning, MTCC said that 84 percent of the overall project has been completed while the maintenance dredging operations have been completed as well.

Dharanboodhoo Harbor Project entails dredging a harbor basin of 46,600 cubic meters, 253 meters of inner sea wall, 410 square meters of outer sea wall, 64 meters of revetment, 2,500 square meters of pavement along with the installation of port and harbor lights.

The project valued at MVR 38.2 million was mobilized by the MTCC in May 2020.
