The country's total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 71,212 after an additional 183 people have recovered in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 183 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 71,212 with another 3,148 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 23 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 74 from the atolls.

There have been 213 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 196 locals, 16 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020.
