The country's total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 71,029 after an additional 140 people have recovered in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 140 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 71,029 with another 3,226 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 15 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 111 from the atolls.
There have been 213 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 196 locals, 16 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020.
