The country's total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 74,480 after 129 people have tested positive in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 15 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 111 from the atolls.
In the same time frame, 140 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 71,029 with another 3,226 people still in treatment.
There have been 213 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 196 locals, 16 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020.
