The country's total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 69,378 after an additional 347 people have recovered in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 347 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 69,378 with another 3,883 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 28 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 70 from the atolls.

There have been 209 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 193 locals, 16 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020.
