The country's total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 73,094 after 150 people have tested positive in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 30 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 101 from the atolls.

In the same time frame, 377 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 68,806 with another 4,067 people still in treatment.

There have been 209 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 193 locals, 16 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020.
