The Ministry of Environment has donated over 2,700 trees to the Male' City Council.

At a ceremony today, Environment Minister, Dr. Hussain Rasheed donated the trees to the Male' City Mayor, Shifa Mohamed. The donation by the Environment Ministry would be planted on Boduthakurufaanu Magu.

A Tweet sent out by Mayor Shifa today sent gratitude to the Environment Ministry for the donation of trees for Boduthakurufaanu Magu.

After the trees were removed to develop the road, Boduthakurufaanu Magu, has become the hottest road in the capital. The previous administration was set to plan 450 trees on the road after the development was completed.
