Prosecutor General (PG), Hussain Shameem has said that there are no set regulations at the Prosecutor General's Office and it is run as the PG sees fit.

Speaking at a press conference this morning, PG Shameem said that a lack of a written procedure is a challenge in running things the best way possible and so a solution has been brought to that issue.

He said that a "manual" has been written for the operations has been prepared along with a procedure for review cases and how to prosecute them.

PG Shameem said that the biggest challenge is what comes next which is ensuring that the manual is followed.

He said that SOPs have been prepared to ensure that all similar cases reviewed the same way. Shameem said that when those procedures start fully working, it would benefit his successors as well.
