The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 62,533 after another 772 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 772 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 62,533 with another 8,155 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 224 people have tested positive including 111 people in Male' area and 105 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 198 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 183 locals, 15 foreign nationals.
