The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 61,761 after another 992 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 992 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 61,761 with another 8,703 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 372 people have tested positive including 125 people in Male' area and 215 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 198 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 183 locals, 15 foreign nationals.
