The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 60,769 after another 1,937 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,937 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 60,769 with another 9,326 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 224 people have tested positive including 113 people in Male' area and 104 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 197 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 182 locals, 15 foreign nationals.
