Another COVID-19 patient has passed away raising the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country to 193.

Sources have told One Online that the deceased was a 60-year-old local woman who passed away this morning, who was being treated at Dharumavantha Hospital.

With this most recent death, the COVID-19 death toll in the country consists of 178 locals and 15 foreigners.

Maldives saw the highest number of COVID-19 related deaths last month with 13 deaths on the 25 May alone.

The first reported death due COVID-19 was reported on 29 April 2020.
