Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has extended the deadline to make the Income Tax payment.

A press statement issued by MIRA yesterday said that they have reviewed the state's measures against the spread of COVID-19 and the challenges facing taxpayers and have extended to 21 August.

The deadline for statement and payments for the first interim of the year has been pushed back to September.

MIRA said that those making payments can do so via the MIRA Connect and are advised to use online services.
