The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 49,844 after another 1,758 people have recovered from the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,758 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 49,844 with another 18,462 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 552 people have tested positive including 271 people in Male' area and 249 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.
So far, there have been 187 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 172 locals, 15 foreign nationals.
