The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 47,333 after another 1,603 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,603 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 47,333 with another 20,014 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 590 people have tested positive including 389 people in Male' area and 195 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 182 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 167 locals, 15 foreign nationals.
