Another person has passed away due to complications with COVID-19 raising the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the Maldives to 182.

One Online has learned that the most recently deceased is a 68-year-old Maldivian woman who was being treated at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility. The woman passed away at 7:17am this morning.

The highest number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country was in May 2021 with 13 deaths on the 25th alone.

After weeks of daily COVID-19 cases over 1000, the card have now dropped below 500 after strict measures on curfews and public gatherings are in place in the Male' City area and the islands under monitoring.
