The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 43,949 after another 2,180 people have recovered from the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 2,180 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 43,949 with another 22,375 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 648 people have tested positive including 349 people in Male' area and 270 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.
So far, there have been 173 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 159 locals, 14 foreign nationals.
