Maldivian national airline, Maldivian, has suspended their flights to Bangladesh.

The government of Bangladesh decided to suspend flights between the two countries due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.

The airline said that they will be suspending flights to Dakha indefinitely starting from Friday.

The COVID-19 situation in Bangladesh has become worse with 802,000 cases and over 12,000 deaths. Last month alone, over 30,000 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Bangladesh.
